Patients can text questions to Mayfield

Mayfield is offering current and new patients the ability to ask general, non-medical questions by text, another step to increase convenience for those seeking information about office hours or locations, office procedures and other general information.

Patients can text Mayfield at 513-386-6877. For mobile users, clicking the phone icon at the top of Mayfield’s website, www.MayfieldClinic.com, will provide an option to call or text.

Mayfield will be unable to disclose any personal health information via text message. Mayfield will respond to text questions on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Questions about a specific patient’s care will be routed to a Mayfield access coordinator, who will contact the patient directly by phone.

Examples of questions that can be answered by text could include: Do you offer physical therapy? How can I make a virtual appointment? Do you accept Anthem insurance?

“Serving patients when and where they need it has been a hallmark of Mayfield for generations,” said Jeremy Peter, manager of access and care coordination. “With this convenient new service, information about Mayfield and the care we provide is more accessible than ever.”

Mayfield, the region’s premier neurosurgery practice, served more than 27,000 patients from 42 states last year. With 21 neurosurgeons, five rehabilitation and pain specialists and other services including physical therapy and imaging, Mayfield continues to enhance patient service. Our physicians see patients at offices in Norwood, West Chester, Green Township and Crestview Hills, and perform surgeries at the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center and the region’s leading health systems.

Mayfield has invested in expansion of patient access through its consolidated telephone service at 513-221-1100. Access coordinators help patients make appointments, connect them to imaging or other services and relay communication from physicians.
