Mayfield CEO: At 85, Mayfield continues to grow and serve

Mark Vorherr, Mayfield’s chief executive officer, provided a few thoughts as Mayfield approaches its 85th anniversary.

Cincinnatians know the name “Mayfield.” For generations of those who have needed treatment for a brain tumor or a spine disorder, emergency intervention to stop a stroke or relief from back pain, Mayfield Brain & Spine has served our community since 1937. We are a Cincinnati institution with national recognition.

As we celebrate our 85th anniversary this year, Mayfield Brain & Spine is growing:

  • Last year we treated more than 27,000 patients
  • We are proud of our partnerships with Mercy Health, TriHealth, St. Elizabeth Healthcare and The Christ Hospital
  • We are constantly working to enhance services provided to patients
  • We have expanded our West Chester and Northern Kentucky patient offices during the last two years to offer more services like physical therapy, X-ray and interventional pain treatments
  • And we have invested in advanced imaging technology at our Rookwood patient office

Our physicians are also owners of Mayfield, committed to making Cincinnati a destination for elite neurosurgical care. Because we are an independent group of practitioners, not tied to one hospital or location, we provide brain and spinal surgeries when and where you need them.

Our 20 neurosurgeons and five pain and rehabilitation specialists are ready to help you with your most serious health challenges. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, or contact Mayfield at 513-221-1100 or www.MayfieldClinic.com.
